| Enan Parezo was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He gained a respect for cooking from his Italian Aunt who prepared fantastic home cooked meals. She inspired Enan to pursue a career as a chef. Enan left Baltimore in 1998 to attend the University of South Carolina in Columbia where he majored in Hospitality Management. Enan worked his way through college by cooking at several restaurants in Columbia including an Indian restaurant and an upscale steak house.
Graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree from USC, Enan moved to the Lowcountry to further his knowledge of food. He quickly earned his degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston.
While attending college Enan worked full time at The Club at Seabrook Island. As a line cook/kitchen supervisor at Seabrook he honed his skills and furthered his passion for continental cuisine.
After a few years at Seabrook he left to join Orient-Express Hotel's prestigious Charleston Place Hotel. After only a year as Sous-Chef for the Palmetto Cafe he earned the esteemed title of Chef de Cuisine for the world class establishment.
Enan's culinary abilities were instrumental in increasing the restaurant's local following and in earning the Palmetto Cafe the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award for the first time.
For the past months Chef Enan has served as a Personal Chef to some of Charleston's most notable families. His cuisine has been described as eclectic, creative and innovative. |
